Jubo League leader Jubair arrested while fleeing to India

League General Secretary of Tanor Upazila of Rajshahi, Jubo League, Jubair Islam (50), was arrested from the Darshana Joynagar Immigration Checkpost in Chuadanga while going to India. On Tuesday (June 17) morning, the immigration police of the checkpost arrested him and handed him over to Darshana Police Station.

Juboir Islam (50) is the son of the late Abul Kalam of Sadi village in Tanor Upazila of Rajshahi and is the general secretary of the Upazila Jubo League.

In this regard, Darshana Immigration In-charge SI Ramzan Ali said that Juboir Islam was arrested by the immigration police while going to India through the Darshana Checkpost in the morning. It is initially known that several cases, including a sabotage case, are pending against the detained Juboir at Tanor Police Station. He has been handed over to Darshana Police Station.

Darshana Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Shahid Titumir said, “A radio message was sent to Tanor Police Station after Zubair was arrested. When they arrive, details about the case will be known and the arrested Zubair will be handed over to them.”
