Houthi missile attack, one million Israelis rushed to shelters at midnight!

Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired two ‘ballistic missiles’ at Israel on Thursday (May 22). However, the Israeli military claimed to have intercepted the two missiles with air defense systems.

There were no reports of direct injuries or damage in the attack. However, an emergency service reported that one person was injured on his way to a shelter during the first missile attack.
The Times of Israel said that the first missile was fired at around 3 am on Wednesday. As a result, sirens sounded in various areas of Israel, including Tel Aviv, forcing about one million residents to rush to shelters to save their lives.
According to the report, an advance warning was sent to residents about four minutes before the sirens sounded. They were warned about the long-range missile attack by sending a push notification to their phones.
The Israeli Defense Forces claimed that the air defense system successfully intercepted the missile (the first one).
However, shortly before noon on Thursday, the Houthis reportedly fired a second missile into Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces claimed to have intercepted that too. The second missile was fired, causing sirens to sound in Jerusalem and the populated areas of the southern West Bank.
The Houthi group claimed responsibility for the first attack, saying it targeted Ben Gurion Airport.
