Eid and summer vacations for educational institutions for 19 days

According to the current-2025 academic year academic calendar, Eid-ul-Azha vacations will start from June 1 in government and private secondary schools of the country. At the same time, the summer vacation will be added to the Eid vacation. As a result, the schools will be on vacation for 19 consecutive days. Which will end on June 19.

It is learned that the Eid-ul-Azha vacations in government and private colleges will start on June 3, which will continue until June 12. However, due to the long vacation, educational institutions have been ordered to remain open on the two Saturdays before Eid, May 17 and May 24, as weekly holidays.

According to sources in the Ministry of Education, an executive order has been declared as a government holiday on June 11 and 12 (Wednesday and Thursday) on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. At the same time, it was decided to keep the offices open even though Saturdays, May 17 and May 24, are weekly holidays for the sake of official work.

The letter said that under this decision, all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices will remain open on the two mentioned Saturdays. The same instructions will be followed for educational institutions. Meanwhile, government primary schools will remain closed during Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacations from June 3 to June 23.
