Bangabandhu Satellite’s name changed

The government has changed the name of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 (BS-1). The satellite has been renamed Bangladesh Satellite-1 (BS-1). This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology Mohammad Rafiqul Islam on Monday.

The notification said that the proposal to change the name of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 (BS-1) to Bangladesh Satellite-1 (BS-1) has been approved by the Chief Advisor. In this situation, a request has been made to take further necessary steps in this regard.

Earlier, the decision to change the name of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 was taken in a meeting of the Advisory Council.
